Trestin treid rice cereal for the first time on Dec 23 and all he did was spit it out. We waited a few more days to try again.
In our family it has always been a tradition to have our family christmas on Christmas Eve. Well last year my wonderful husband and I hosted our first one. This year I think this was much more smooth. Though we were missing the Hebers and that made a big difference. (we actually had bread left)
The evening started off with a bang and Trestin unfortunately had a high fever and was a little crabby for dinner and presents. All he did was cling to his daddy.
As always we played the fun game of the gift exchange that we usually play. I think it gets more fun every year as people find some of the best gifts!!! It is always fun to see what gifts are in the running for the most popular. I think this year there was a battle between some massaging doggy slippers and the candy/movie tickets!!!! I don't know who ended up with what, but it was lots of fun!!!!!
After the game we tried to have Trestin open his gifts and he wasn't feeling well at all. He got into his ttrain from grandma and grandpa when he started cryiing and clear as day called out "DADDY!" (it's true and everyone heard him)

Trestin was opening his animal train that Grandma and Grandpa got him, but as you can see he wasn't into it at all....Now though he loves his train.
I felt so bad for the little man, his first Christmas and he didn't feel good at all.
On Christmas morning Matt, the wonderful husband he is, drove all over the state of Washington picking up all of our gilrs so that they could come and enjoy the presents that Santa left for them. Here they are digging in and opening with excitement.
The best thing was that Abi wanted this doll stroller with twin babies. Well Santa brought is for her and the look on her face was priceless. I am so sorry that there is no picture of that, but her jaw dropped in total amazment!!!
The next day Christmas continued at the Brunson house by visiting Don and Jeannie for more presents and food!!! It was a blast! The girls got all kinds of fun things and for the little man a wonderful present....

It was a wonderful Christmas this year! I really with that the Heber family could have been here with us. We truly missed all of them. I am so sorry that these are late, but as the Hebers know when the dad leaves for an extended period of time things get a little chaotic!!!
Love you all!!
